Trustee Edilberto “Ed” Ramos was born in the Philippines and has lived in Morton Grove for over 35 years. As a first generation American citizen, Ed cherishes the blessings and opportunities he has received in Morton Grove and understands the concerns and challenges facing newcomers. Trustee Ramos is an active member of and advisor to the Morton Grove Fil-Am Organization and its 400 families. He maintains strong ties with Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese groups. Ed has a passion for helping all Morton Grove residents register to vote and take part in our democratic process.

Ed holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and worked for United Airlines for 25 years. Before being elected as a Village Trustee, Ed served as the Village Clerk, and as a member of the Village’s Plan Commission/Zoning Board of Appeals and Finance Committee. He volunteers for the Morton Grove Days Committee and is very active in St. Martha Parish, where he serves as an usher and Eucharistic Minister. Every Thursday, Ed volunteers to pick up bread for area soup kitchens and to help feed needy seniors. Ed and his wife, Rebecca, a registered nurse, have two adult children.
