Eileen, a life-long resident of Morton Grove, learned to get involved and give back to our community as a child. Many people knew her father, Dan Scanlon, who served our Village as Mayor, but how many of us are old enough to remember Eileen’s grandfather, Leo DuMont, who was our Village Clerk over 50 years ago? Eileen taught many of our children (and maybe some of us) as a pre-school teacher for the Morton Grove Park District. She has also worked as a Special Education teacher in our community for over 25 years.
Eileen serves as a Director of the Morton Grove Foundation and the Event and Raffle Chair for the Taste of Morton Grove. As a member of the Ad Hoc Social Service Committee, Eileen was instrumental in bringing back a staff social worker for the Village’s seniors and residents in crisis. Eileen and her husband, Keith have four children and live on the west side of Morton Grove.
