Trustee William “Bill” Grear learned his strong work ethic from his parents, Bill and Mary Ellen Grear who raised Bill and his nine brothers and sisters in Morton Grove. Bill coached many youth basketballs and baseball teams while he and his wife, Jan, raised their three children in Morton Grove.
Bill is proud that Morton Grove voters trusted him in both 2009 and 2013 and elected him to serve our community as a Village Trustee. He takes this responsibility seriously and devotes his time listening to residents and resolving any Village issues they may have.
Bill currently serves as a Board member for the Morton Grove Days Commission and is the Board liaison to the Village’s Fire and Police Commission. He has also served as a Board member of the Regional Emergency Dispatch Center which directs and manages our highly rated 911 call center. Bill has been active in the Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the Morton Grove Moose Lodge. Bill plans to retire this year so he can spend more time helping Morton Grove residents and enjoying his grandchildren.
