• Acts as liaison with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office and the Cook County Courts System

Our police officers, firefighters and paramedics collectively receive over 19,000 hours of training each year to be ready and able to provide the highest level of protection, service and care for the community.
Officers also are trained to understand and respect every person regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, culture or gender. This training includes:

• Establishing Trust w/ Diversity in Work Groups or Teams
• Preventing Harassment
• increasing understanding, communications, and effective interaction with people across cultures
